California dial
The story about the California Dial
The origins of the California Dial trace back to the 1930s and 1940s when it appeared on early high-end watches, particularly on models used by the Italian Navy. Initially, these dials were not called "California" but gained the name in the 1980s when collectors in California made the style popular after some restoration and customization.
California dial is characterised by the mix of arabic and roman numbers on the dial. Our version we have levelled up the applied indices somewhat and also enlarged the dial frame compared to our classic dials.
